Key Facts

What: An innovative public charter school opening with eighty-eight sixth grade students and adding one grade each year until we welcome a twelfth grade in 2015.  Our class size will be twenty-two students, with a student to teacher ratio of 12:1.

Where: The school will be located in Community School District (CSD) 15, which includes but is not limited to the following neighborhoods: Park Slope, Gowanus, Sunset Park, Red Hook, Windsor Terrace, Cobble Hill and parts of Downtown Brooklyn.   

When: September 2009

Who: Admission is open to all students in CSD 15. Selection will be made by lottery.

Why: To increase the middle and upper school options for families in CSD 15
